Clients who have worked with Laurence have commented on his distinctive perspective on issues that arise due to his exposure to both the legal and practical side of shipping.

Andreas, as Legal Manager, will be heading the legal team at Elias Marine. Having started his career some 18 years ago Andreas, who is dual qualified in England & Wales as well as New York, is well known in the shipping and insurance industry and has gained significant experience during his time with BP Amoco, then in practice with Fowler, Rodriguez & Chalos, and as General Counsel to Synergy Marine. Andreas has also worked for The American Club and Skuld, where he specialised in handling P&I and FD&D claims. Accustomed to dealing with intricate legal, commercial and compliance aspects of the industry, we believe that Andreas is a “good fit” for Elias Marine which always aims to offer innovative claims handling through practical assistance and advice.

The first of the second generation of the EMCO team has joined our Cyprus based Solicitors’ firm. Daniela Elias, daughter of Imad Elias (founder of the EMCO Group), has joined I. Elias & Co L.L.C. as a Trainee Solicitor. Daniela, following in her father’s footsteps, has passed her LPC having completed her LLB at the University of Buckingham and her Masters in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton. Elias & Co is a niche firm of Solicitors offering specialist advice and assistance under English and EU Law for the insurance / reinsurance and maritime industries in the Middle East and North Africa Region.
